I try to convey that emotion in my jewelry and I hope you are inspired by it.

Modern Lockets!
Hold loved ones close to your heart and still look cool!
I love lockets, but really don't like the "Grandma" look of most of them. The one I have - your standard gold heart with some etching - just sits in my jewelry chest.
I decided the other day to modernize the locket and actually wear one on occasion. I love having my son's newborn photo in it!
So here are a few that I've come up with so far. Let me know what you think. They'll be on my Etsy shop for sale very soon.
